Coach Liebl is a former student athlete who went on to play water polo at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He is now the proud father of two student athletes at San Mateo High School. He is deeply committed to creating an encouraging, positive and supportive environment for every athlete. He emphasizes fundamental development and especially enjoys helping new and first-time players build confidence in the water while developing a love for the game. 

Beyond the technical side of water polo, Coach Liebl focuses on developing the complete athlete. He prioritizes character development while also stressing the importance of nutrition, sleep, academics and overall well-being to help his players succeed both in and out of the pool.
